Welcome to our forum. I'm happy to help.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with a newly diagnosed HPV infection of your cervix, but glad to hear your cervix involvement is only CIN1, which rarely progresses to cancer. It's also good you are being vaccinated, to prevent infection with the remaining common types of the virus.

However, you need not worry about transmitting your own HPV infection to any other place on your body. HPV infections are not transmitted from one body area to others. This might occur on rare occasions in the first few weeks after catching the virus, but after that the immune system prevents new infections anywhere on the body with the HPV type(s) that someone already has. And because you have CIN, you can safely assume you have had the virus at least a few months. Therefore, you cannot transmit your genital HPV to your face, eyes, nipples, or anywhere else even by rubbing your own genital area and then touching your mouth, eyes, etc. And certainly your partner cannot transmit the virus by touching your genital area and then your nipples or anywhere else.

You also should not change your sexual practices or frequency with your boyfriend. He has already been repeatedly exposed and might have been the source of your infection. He also is now immune to catching your infection, no matter which of your body parts are in contact.

So the main thing now is for you to follow your doctor's advice about follow-up and continue to receive all recommendations of the vaccine. Then you can just forget your HPV.

I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Even though the word papilloma usually means wart (caused by HPV), intraductal papilloma of the breast is an exception. That problem is not caused by HPV. If you have been diagnosed with intraductal papilloma, discuss it with your doctor. Good luck.

That completes the two follow-up comments and replies included with each question and so ends this thread. I hope the discussion has been helpful. Best wishes and stay safe.
