[Question #13395] Massage oral 2025

Hello Doctor,

I wrote a few weeks ago about a massage with protected oral sex. I have two quick questions.

For your information, on June 2, I had a massage with protected oral sex. There was no contact between the masseuse's mouth and my penis without a condom. The oral sex was 100% protected.

One hour later, I took 200mg of doxycycline because I was afraid I had taken a risk of contracting an STI.

Welcome back to the Forum although I don’t see any questions here.  Your previous questions were answered and repeating them serves no purpose.  EWH---

Sorry, I had computer problem before I finish the question.

I had redness on the outside of foreskin since Sundaywith intermittent itching. Maybe from friction or irritation

Could it be syphilis ou herpes? Despite the 3 month delay from this event, doxypep I Took and the 7 days of doxy in August?

The symptoms you describe do not suggest an STI.  This is not herpes- what you describe in no way suggests herpes and newly acquired herpes lesions occur within 10 days of an exposure.  As for syphilis, as previously stated ( repeatedly) the doxycycline you took assures us that this is not syphilis.  Finally, STI symptoms are not intermittent.

Friction or irritation from a non- STI cause ( like masturbation or chaffing) could certainly explain what you see.  EWH

Thank you for your answer Dr Hook! I was anxious because I read on Canada Health and CDC that syphilis symptoms can take 90 days to show up.

I put Clotrimazole on the redness and the itching  decreased. The redness also diminished in size.

As you know, this will be my final response.  There should be no need to return with further questions.

The response to clotrimazole is consistent with a non-STI fungal skin infection.  It is also consistent with how a friction related irritation might improve.  It is in no way suggestive of an STI.

It's time to move forward without concern.  Please stay off the internet and don't worry.  EWH
