[Question #13454] HSV risk during dry humping.

Hi, thanks for reading. I wanted to ask for help . Here's a description of the situation:
Me (F33, and GHSV-1+ since 2017) and a partner (M45) engaged in dry humping. Three prior to this, I had begun to experience some prodrome-like itching and a little bump (not sore or broken skin). In response, I started taking valtrex (twice a day, to prevent the full outbreak).
The detail causing my concern is that my panties became soaked with vaginal fluid. That's why I wanted to ask about the risk of transmission in a situation like this since I've read that HSV can be present in vaginal fluids.
During the encounter and dry humping situation, we both kept our underwear on (I had my panties and he had his briefs). There wasn't skin-to-skin contact or direct contact with the genitals or mucous membranes.
The detail causing my concern is that my panties became soaked with vaginal fluid. That's why I wanted to ask about the risk of transmission in a situation like this since I've read that HSV can be present in vaginal fluids.
So, considering there was no open sores, I was already taking the Valtrex (2 days prior), the intimate contact was through dry humping with both keeping underwear on (but the fabric was soaked in bodily fluids): what's the risk of HSV transmission in this scenario?
Should I tell my partner to check or test?
Thanks in advance.

This situation presents ZERO risk of transmission of HSV. Virus does not go through clothing, even if vaginal secretions are present. In addition, if you've had HSV 1 genital infection for 8 years, you are likely shedding virus very very infrequently, if at all, and then add Valtrex to the mix? This is completely a no risk situation!
