[Question #13463] Leg Pain STI?

Dr. In April I had protected oral sex at a massage parlor. The condom appeared to be in tact the entire time. Was more of a dental dam covering but was in place throughout. Months later my wife was in a minor car accident. A week after the accident she complained of knee pain in back of knee. Ortho said nothing wrong structurally. She now is still having bad knee and ankle pain/swelling and is going to primary. I’m terrified I’ve passed on gonorrhea or something that would cause this. Is this a common std symptom, based on research I see it may be? I’ve had no symptoms that I’m aware of.

Sorry for additional context/questions. My wife has been told she’s anemic and I see that could also be an issue for leg pain, or possibly lymph node issues from the accident? She also recently had a UTI, which she went to the Dr for and was diagnosed with a UTI. They gave her specific antibiotics to help that, would that have shown any bacteria if STI was present?
Also I was taking amoxicillin for an ear infection at time of incident, would that prevent some risk of contracting anything?

Welcome to the forum.
You describe a zero risk event; there is no realistic chance you acquired any STD and even lower chance you infected your wife. And no reason at all to suspect her knee pain has anything to do with your sexual indiscretion several months ago. "Is this a common STD symptom...? No, it doesn't suggest any STD at all. This reminds me of a patient who might have been hit over the head with the swing of a baseball bat then wonders if his headache might be meningitis.
Anemia has a hundred different causes, and STD is not one of them for all practical purposes.
And whatever near zero risk of STD from your sexual exposure 6 months ago, the amoxicillin largely eliminated even that minimal risk.
All is well. There's no STD problem here in either you or your wife.
