[Question #13480] Back again for insight

2 days ago I (male) had unprotected oral (I performed analingus and received a bj) and protected vaginal intercourse with a female escort. There was unprotected contact with her vagina but no real penetration until the condom was used. From previous discussions on here I really don’t have much to worry about but I would like to get another opinion from you all. If I don’t experience any symptoms would testing be necessary? And would I be putting my SO at risk by being intimate before getting any testing

Welcome back to the Forum. Thanks for your continuing confidence in our service. The encounter you describe was very low risk. As a generalization, most commercial sex workers are professionals who get checked regularly, take precautions, and are rarely infected with STIs. Your risk is very low- site by site comments, in the unlikely event that your partner had an STI:
Receipt of oral sex. Oral sex of any sort is low risk. There are no proven cases of HIV which were acquired from oral sex. Chlamydia is very rare and gonorrhea, on those rare occasions when it is acquired, is typically obviously symptomatic within 3-4 days of exposure.
Analingus: STIs are quite rare and not a concern.
Condom protected vaginal sex- as long as the condom is worn throughout the encounter, virtually no risk.
Contact of your penis with her vaginal without penetration- no risk. Contact with genital secretions without penetration is no risk.
Testing- is always a personal choice. If I were you I would not choose to test- your risk of having any STI is less than1%.
Hope this helps. EWH
