[Question #13505] Risk from 30 sec unprotected exposure

Hello,

I’m a male who during an erotic massage performed frontage where the masseuse rubbed their bare penis between my shaved buttocks, and penetrated me (unwanted) unprotected. The penetration was shallow approximately 3 thrust lasting no more than 30 sec in total. After oral sex was exchanged for about 1min

This is the only unprotected penetrative exposure that I’ve had.

What is the likelihood that I contracted HSV2 from the 30 sec of unprotected penetration?

What is the likelihood that I contracted HSV2 from the Frotting?

What is the likelihood that I contracted HSV2 from the me performing oral?

I think the risk of acquiring HSV-2 in your situation, for all three kinds of contact, is low, but it is not zero.  The frottage against the buttocks is low, but the shaving may have opened up small areas of the skin and made it more vulnerable.  The unprotected anal sex for 30 seconds is also low risk because the time of the experience was so short.  The oral is also low risk because HSV 2 doesn't like the oral area and is rarely there - it much prefers the genitalia.  While all of these are low risk individually, I would still encourage you to be mindful of what is going on around the anal area for the next few weeks.  If you develop any skin changes in that area, please have them evaluated by a professional.  How long ago was this?

It was a day ago.
I have tested false pos for HSV2 and had to confirm neg with blot and have not had any intercourse since but have engaged in oral sex.

Baring any outbreak symptoms is it safe to still consider myself HSV2 Neg?

Do you recommend testing ? If so should it be the blot?

I think if you don't have any symptoms within the next 10 days, you are likely OK.  But if you develop any changes in the genital skin, you should be seen for an evaluation
Testing probably isn't necessary without symptoms, but if you do decide to test, be sure to use the labcorp test as it is now by far the better test with fewer false positives.

So if i have no symptoms the next 10 days, the fact i have not had intercourse since my blot in 2 years ago and this being my riskiest experience since my blot can i reasonably consider myself neg?

Given that i was over a 3 igg  and tested neg via blot can i trust the labcorp test?

In your opinion how likely is it that i aquired HSV2 from this experience ?

With no symptoms should I just let it go and move on?

Thanks for all of your help!

Yes, I believe you did not acquire HSV 2 from this encounter and you can consider yourself negative unless you develop symptoms that are concerning
