[Question #13521] HIV risk during the window period

Dear Doctors, I'm sorry to be here again. I've been working on myself, but I fell back into a situation I don't want to be in.
I had sex with a woman, even though I am a heterosexual man.
We had unprotected vaginal sex, as well as oral sex, her to me and me to her.
She kindly took a 4th generation HIV test with me, and we both tested negative. (This was two days after having sex with her.)
She admitted to having had unprotected sex with other people before me. What is the likelihood of transmission in this case? It may have been 7 or 15 days ago when she had unprotected sex with other people before me; she couldn't tell me.

Welcome back to the forum. However, I note you keep returning with versions of the same questions after similar exposures.
With negative HIV test results, you could not have been infected. Even among the most sexually active women with multiple partners, HIV is rare. And the statistical chance she was infected and in the window period is under one chance in many million. There is nor risk of HIV in this situation. I recommend against HIV testing. You are at higher risk of other STDs, so you might consider testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia; and maybe syphilis after a few weeks.
I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

I understand Doctor. So I know that statiscally unlikely that she is in window period. Is there any relation to the possibility of HIV and negative test with no detectable P24. It would enough viral load to transmit the virus?

HIV probably cannot be transmitted in presence of a negative antigen test (i.e. no detectable p24 antigen).---

Hello Again Doctor,
I took my 4th generation HIV test at 28 days after risk. ECLIA. And a Syphilis test VDRL. Both test were negative. I don't symptons of Gonorrea so far. Is it everything fine?

The gonorrhea test result is conclusive. The syphilis and HIV blood tests are nearly conclusive, but both need to be negative at 6 weeks for 100% reliable results.

That completes the two follow-up comments and replies included with each question and so ends this thread. I hope the discussion has been helpful. Best wishes and stay safe.
