[Question #13554] Dry Humping Risk - Male to Male

Hello,
I wanted to ask about a recent activity I engaged in over the past weekend. Basically, I hung out with this guy and we dry humped one another while clothed. I wore sweatpants and boxers; while he wore boxer briefs only. During this, I didn’t come into contact with his bare genitals nor any body fluids and no penetration, nor oral sex took place. So does this mild version of foreplay carry risk for STI's in my particular situation? What if he was a tad wet from being aroused from all that friction? I apologize in advance - I just began to feel anxious about it and wanted to still ask this even if it’s sounds silly. Thanks again for your assistance.

Welcome back. I reviewed your very recent discussion with Dr. Hook and agree with his evaluation and advice.
HIV and all other STIs are rarely if ever transmitted by body contact or genital/anal apposition ("humping" etc); and for sure none can be transmitted through fabric. This was an entirely zero risk event. I would not advise testing for anything.
I think that brief comment addresses your concerns. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

Thank you, hearing this helps me out. I'm going to be careful and move on past this. Greatly appreciate your weigh-in Dr. Handsfield and Dr. Hook.
