[Question #13561] STD concerns from a visit to a strip club

Hi Drs.
I made the mistake of getting 3 lap dances on my visit to a strip club during a friend's bachelor party.

During this experience I have had the strippers go topless and straddle me with probably thin thongs.

On two of the lapdances they sort of motorboated and pushed a lot of their boobs and upper body over my face and eyes and there was significant contact with my face eyes and lips. There was a lot of dry humping and grinding and touching. But I had on a pair of jeans so I'm hoping that blocked contact. One of the strippers at one point nuzzled her lips against my penis through my jeans.

Think there was no contact besides this. I didn't go beyond touching. There was no exchange of fluids/kissing/ anything of that sort.

I'm a little worried about skin to skin diseases since strippers probably give tons of guys dances like this everyday.

I've been vaccinated for HPV once about 1.5 years ago. Just before I turned 27.

Could you help me with a risk assessment for any stds HPV or herpes? I've been fairly worried. Thanks again!

Welcome back to the Forum.  Thanks for your continuing confidence in our service.  I'm pleases to hear that you initiated HPV vaccination since our last exchange, while getting two shots would be preferrable, even a single vaccination offers substantial protection had you been exposed to HPV which was not the case from the activities you describe.

As I assured you previously, HPV is not transmitted through clothing, even if that clothing gets wet with genital secretions.

Contact with an infected persons breasts is not a risk factor for HPV or herpes either.  The infections are limited to ano-genital or, less commonly, the oral cavity and would not be present on the breasts, no matter how many persons that person had been with.

I see no reason for concern.  I encourage you to move forward without worry.  EWH
