Hello,
I had a low risk exposure. I got tested for HIV RNA at 10 days and then at 19 days both came negative. How accurate are these tests and should be testing for antibody test at 6 weeks to be sure. Have you seen any cases where the test has been negative at post 11 days but positive with the antibodies at 6 weeks. Also how accurate are the test for syphillis and HSV at 19 days. Given I have no symptoms and both were negative. Thank you

Welcome to the Forum. Thanks for your questions. You say nothing about why you feel the need to test so I can only comment on test performance, not whether you need to worry or not.
Your HIV RNA PCR tests are conclusive. These tests performed 11 or more days following an exposure provide conclusive results. You have proven you did not acquire HIV and do not need further testing for HIV.
Your 19 day test results do not provide much useful information. Blood tests for syphilis and herpes take longer to be conclusive. Blood tests for syphilis are not conclusive until at least 6 weeks after an exposure and it can take up to 6 months for herpes blood tests to provide accurate information.

I have just reviewed your two other recent questions and no realize that Dr. Handsfield and I have already told you that the encounter you described did not put you at meaningful risk for any STI. I encourage you to relax and stop worrying. There should be no need for further repetitive questions. EWH---

One last question. What are the STI risks from receiving a hand job. If in the future something like receiving a hand job happens should there be any concerns

Even if the person spits on your genitals. Is it safe

All experts, as well as the WHO and U.S. CDC agree that there is NO HIV or STI risk from receipt of masturbation including handjobs and body rubs, even when saliva is used as a lubricant. Similarly, there is no risk if a partner’s genital secretions get on you during mutual masturbation. In these settings there is no need for concern and no need for testing.
