I am female. I have had HSV-2 for 10+ yrs. I am taking Valacyclovir daily. I do not have outbreaks. My partner does not Herpes.  He is concerned that if he gets it he might transmit Herpes to other family members via non-sexual contact. Is non-sexual transmission possible? If so what are some of the ways that can happen? Are there statistics that you can share or point me to that support the odds of non-sexual transmission of Herpes if that is in fact possible?
