[Question #13795] Is there any risk of infection?

I had this situation where I visited two prostitutes that night. There was no sexual intercourse, just oral sex and masturbation with a condom. We used the same condom. As the time was quite long, about an hour, the prostitutes alternated between oral sex and masturbation. I was worried that the condom might be damaged, but I didn't check it after the service. During the service, there was a long time of chest licking. Also, my finger was pricked by a shrimp head while having dinner that night. There was no bleeding, but it was painful when I touched or squeezed it. During the service, I used this finger to pull the condom to prevent it from slipping off and also touched the prostitute's vagina with it. Are there any risks of contracting syphilis or HIV from these behaviors? Should I get tested? I'm mainly worried that the condom might have been damaged since the penis got soft during the long service and there was fluid flowing onto the condom, which was in contact with the penis for a long time. Also, I'm concerned about the risk of infection from touching the prostitute's vagina with the finger that was pricked by the shrimp head. Since the next day, there has been an itchy sensation around the penis and its surroundings. I applied Bactroban, but the penis felt burning at first and is still itchy now. I'm not sure what's going on and I'm a bit worried, so I'm asking for advice on the risk of infection.

Welcome back to the Forum. You have been on the Forum multiple times, typically following no risk encounters with commercial sex workers. These questions are similar. The activities you describe-receipt of condom protected oral sex, receipt of masturbation and touching your partners' vagina and vaginal fluid are no risk activities. That your finger had recently been pricked by a shrimp head does not change this - still no risk.
For your information, when condoms fail they break wide open. If your condom appeared intact,, it was and did its job.
I think you believe STIs, including HIV and syphilis and HIV are more common and are more easily spread than is the case. If you use condoms for penetrative sex you will not be at risk for HIV, syphilis or other STIs. Touching genital secretions during masturbation does not put you at risk, even with a recent scrape, cut or prick. I see no reason for concern and no need for testing. EWH

Dear Doctor, I'm relieved to hear you say that. I'm in China. At that time, the main situation was that my finger was pricked and I touched the vagina of a prostitute for a long time. Also, the condom seemed undamaged. I was still worried and asked the local doctor. They said the risk of infection was not high but still low. I'm still worried and will check later. I asked for the reason but they couldn't explain clearly. So after much thought, I decided to consult you. Also, Doctor, the next day I had itching around my penis and on the penis itself. Could it be a sexually transmitted disease?

I know where you are.
The duration of your no risk exposure does not change my assessment. Please don’t worry. EWH

So, a good doctor, that means there's no risk of infection if there's no penetrative sex. Then, my behaviors have no possibility of infection and I don't need to get checked.

Final response.
You are correct. No penetration, no risk of infection. No need to get checked.
This completes this thread. There should be no need to return. EWH
