However if you wish that extra level of insurance, you definitely do not need two weeks treatment. The standard recommendation for post exposure prophylaxis with doxycycline (doxyPEP) is a single dose of 200 mg taken within 3-4 days of exposure; it is 100% protective against syphilis.
Dr. hunter has told me on my previous question this and he told me its not required but for insurance. i have some doubts
1. can i take 2 tablet pfizer vibramycin 100mg (doxycycline monohydrate) as doxypep. Is doxypep and doxycycline antibiotic same?
2. if i take only 2 tablets will there be any issues in future? like antibiotic resistance? or any side effects? ( 18 months before i had taken doxycycline )
3. should i take 2 tablets single time?
4. tomorrow by night it will be 72 hours, so if i take in the morning it will be effective right?
5. after 10 days i have visa medical test, they do vdrl/rpr and tpha test. if i take doxypep now will it show fake positive in test?
6. doctor 24 hours after exposure i started having sore throat and dry cough with small headache and feeling tired and like fever now 48 hours passed till now i have that, is it any symptom of sti?
thanks in advance doctor

Doctor i took 200 mg( 2 x 100mg) doxycycline (vibramycin) as doxypep just now ( 56 hours after exposure ).
Only this one dose is required? No need of any more doses?
Also doctor i read in cdc that doxypep is only 70% effective but you mentioned 100%?
Doctor now no need of 14 day doxycycline?
And now can i move on with my life without looking for syphilis symptoms and testing?
Now my only chance is gonorhea and ngu right doctor?
Doctor can i have unprotected sex with my wife now?

*Sigh*. I'm sorry you're back. As discussed in great detail last time, it is exceedingly unlikely you have any infection as a result of the oral sex event on your mind. You are seriously overreacting!
Your send set of questions indicated you already understand the answer to the lies set. DoxyPEP means doxycycline, single dose, usually 200 mg -- as you apparently took. DoxyPEP is advised primarily for much higher risk circumstances than you had, but in any case you need no more doxycycline.
"i read in cdc that doxypep is only 70% effective...." The roughly 70% effectiveness in preventing syphilis is indeed what the main research studies found, but those studies enrolled men who recently had anal sex with other men; their sexual histories were not always clear; and many had had several such exposures recently and acquired the syphilis prior to the most recent exposure. For true exposures with doxyPEP taken within 72 hours, all experts believe the true effectiveness to be nearly 100% against syphilis and chlamydia.
"now no need of 14 day doxycycline?" There never was a need for this, as I said clearly last time. I haven't changed my mind.
"Now my only chance is gonorrhea and ngu right doctor?" Gonorrhea is very low risk, as we discussed previously. NGU from oral sex probably is harmless both to affected men and their regular sex partners. There there is little chance of either one. If you have no abnormal penile discharge within 10 days of the oral sex event, you will know you have neither of them.
"...can I have unprotected sex with my wife now?" Answered previously. The likelihood you have anything that could harm her is very low, probably under one chance in several thousand. If somehow I were your situation, I would be having unprotected sex with my wife without worry.
