Hello Dr.
I am probably wasting $25 with this question but I want to move on as this has really affected my mental health. Here are the tests that I have had.
•HIV 4th generation test (LabCorp USA) @ 16 days after encounter was negative
•HIV RNA PCR test (Labcorp USA) @ 16 days after encounter was negative
•HIV 4th generation test (LabCorp USA) @ 42 days after encounter was negative
• no sexual encounters since
Can you please let me know ……..
1. Are my test results conclusive?
2. Is any further testing warranted?
3. Can I move on and put this behind me now ?
Thank you for the time and the service.

Welcome to ourForum. Thanks for your questions. I'll be glad to comment and hope that the information I provide will be helpful. You have proven using two different tests which test for infection a total of 3 different ways. and prove, absolutely conclusively that you do not have HIV. HIV PCR tests test for virus RNA and are conclusive at any time more than 11 days after acquistion of infection. In the 4th generation test, the virus, in the form of the viral p24 antigen antigen is tested for and antibodies to the virus are also tested for at the same time. 4th generation tests are conclusive when performed any time more than 6 weeks (42 days) after an exposure. All of these tests are negative, proving that you were not infected. There is no need for further testing- these results are not going to change.
I encourage you to move forward without concern.
I hope that this information is helpful. EWH
