I am a man who recently got an unprotected blowjob from a porn actress. Trying to understand the risks and how long I need to wait to know if anything was contracted

Welcome to the Forum. Thanks for your questions. I'll be glad to provide some information. Oral sex is the biologically least efficient form of penetrative sexual contact.. Statistically it is unlikely that your partner had an oral STI. Some STIs are vanishingly rare in the oral cavity-chlamydia and trichomonas. Some STis, such as HIV are mot transmitted, even if persons have untreated HIV- there are no proven cases of HIV from receipt of oral sex.
Of the STIs acquired from, gonorrhea is most common. If you have acquired gonorrhea, there is a greater than 90% probability that you would develop obvious symptoms within 5 days of your exposure. If you do develop symptoms, I would consider testing optional. If you chose to test, testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia can be carried out on a urine specimen any time more than 3-5 days after your exposure. If you chose to test for syphilis or HIV (which I consider optional depending on your level of concern), test results become conclusive any time more than 6 weeks after your exposure.
I hope that this information is helpful. EWH

Thank you! Did you mean to say testing is optional if I DONT develop symptoms in 5 days?

Sorry if I was not clear- yes, I would consider testing optional if you do not develop symptoms within 5 days of your exposure. I encourage you not to worry. EWH---

Thanks. This is reassuring. If nothing develops by Saturday., I’ll consider myself out of the woods
