Dear respected doctors

Few days ago I had protected sex with CSW during the sex I felt something different I pulled out I found the condom was slipped out inside, honestly not sure if it was completely out during the sex or the top was covered but was completely removed when I pulled out , the action was maybe for 10 seconds ( she’s from Russia ) and I’m in UAE but I don’t know about her if she has residency here I mean I don’t know how her HIV status

My questions please:

1:Based of real life results what is the chance of catching HIV

2: have you ever heard or seen someone with kind of action got infected with HIV

3: it’s around 3 days now and no symptoms only today for one time very yellow urine ( maybe because I did not drink enough water ) should I worry about other STD

4: I don’t know if that’s too personal but if you were in my situation would you worry or consider testing

5: not for assurance or to calm me down , but if I come to your clinic would you ask me to test

6: I’m going to meet my girlfriend next week , can I continue with her without condom

Thanks so much in advance

Welcome to our Forum.  Thanks for your questions.  I'll be glad to comment and hope that my comments will help you to not worry.  This was a low risk encounter.  Most commercial sex workers in the UAE do not have HIV (or other STIs on most single encounters with infected partners do not lead to infection.  If your condom came off as you withdrew, it did it's job protecting you.  If the end of the condom was apparent after you withdrew, it almost certainly came off as you were withdrawing.   if it came off during sex and you were exposed the risk was still quite low.

In response to your specific questions:

1:Based of real life results what is the chance of catching HIV
See above.  In the unlikely circumstance that she has untreated HIV, your statistical risk of infection is less than 1 infection in 2000 exposures- in other words, there is a greater than 99.95% chance you would NOT be infected.

2: have you ever heard or seen someone with kind of action got infected with HIV.
No- not if the condom came off while you were exiting your partner.

3: it’s around 3 days now and no symptoms only today for one time very yellow urine ( maybe because I did not drink enough water ) should I worry about other STD.
If you had acquired gonorrhea, you would have most likely developed symptoms by now but all STIs can be asymptomatic. You may wish to test for the reassurance it provided.  You can test for the most common STIs, gonorrhea and chlamydia at this time and your results will be accurate.  Blood tests for syphilis will take longer, optimally 6 weeks before they are conclusive.

4: I don’t know if that’s too personal but if you were in my situation would you worry or consider testing
Personally, in your situation I would probably not bother to test but testing is always a personal choice, and negative tests can be reassuring if you are worried.

5: not for assurance or to calm me down , but if I come to your clinic would you ask me to test
See my comment above.

6: I’m going to meet my girlfriend next week , can I continue with her without condom.
I would presume that you would not put your girlfriend at risk with unprotected sex at this time

I hope this informamtion is helpful.  If anything is unclear, you have up to two follow-ups.  EWH

It appears that you are the same client who signed on for question 13906 as Amr A.  We discourage signing on with repeat questions using different names.  As you can see from my response, Dr. Handsfield and I have provided you with essentially the same information.  Please do not do this again.  EWH---

I’m really sorry Doctor for the inconvenience I did I just because I missed my old account, I just want to ask please if you allow me to :

Do you consider my situation is very low risk I mean like 1 in 1 million or no

Regarding my last question about my girlfriend you mean yes I can or no ?

Last one please if I visit you in your clinic would you advise for test or no ( not because I’m worried biased or your good experience)

These questions are repetitive.  The answers are not going to change.

As I said, your risk is very, very low.   Less than 1 in 100,000.

As I said, I see no reason for you to not have unprotected intercourse with your girlfriend related to the encounter you have described.

As I said above, testing is always a personal decision.  Personally, I would not bother to test.

We have not seen a client in your situation go on to become HIV positive.

This thread is now complete and will be closed.  EWH
