[Question #13943] Oral sex risks

Hello. Last Tuesday I had a massage and after dozing off the lady proceeded to perform oral sex on me. I immediately stopped it and tried to use alcohol to clean my penis but contacted the tip mistakenly. The next day it stung when beginning to urinate but no burning pain while the stream was underway. A person with an experience similar to mine was advised to apply 1% hydrocortisone which I did 2 days ago and now I’m fine. No discharge or anything else. Should I test or am I okay? Thank you much!

Welcome to the Forum.  Thanks for your questions.  I’ll be glad to comment.  The experience you describe was low risk.  Few STIs are acquired from receipt of oral sex and it is statistically unlikely that your masseuse had an oral STI.  There are no proven cases of HIV  acquired from receipt of oral sex and chlamydia, syphilis and trichamonas our likewise, very rare following receipt of oral sex. The STI, most commonly acquired from receipt of oral sex is gonorrhea, and in 90% of persons who acquire gonorrhea obvious symptoms, such as a penile discharge or present within 3 to 5 days of receiving oral sex. The overall low risk of your exposure, as well as the absence of symptoms, make it unlikely that you acquired any STI. In my opinion at this time, testing for STI‘s is not necessary unless you are anxious and feel that a negative test would be helpful to you.

I would not be worried at this time. I hope this information is helpful to EWH
