Hello Doctors,
I recently went to an Asian spa and the lady ended up giving me hand to genital massage. I worry that the place was not very clean and during the massage she put a bottle of oil directly against the head of my penis. I am concerned that I could get an std this way. Say the person before me had an open sore or was contagious with an std and the bottle also touched there penis could I of gotten an std this way. Also I’m not sure that the massage had clean hands. Say her hands had been on another dirty penis.. Ah I feel very badly cause I have a wife and do not want to infect her. Should I stop having sex with my wife until I get tested. Please let me know what u think. Thank you

Welcome to the forum. I'm happy to address these issues.
You were at little or no risk for any STD from the events described. No STD viruses or bacteria are spread by hand-genital contact, or so rarely the risk can be ignored. The chance is low even if genital fluids are used for lubrication. The other details you mention all are irrelevant: there is no evidence that poor hygiene in general, presence of open sores on the hands (or the exposed person's penis), or contaminated oil increase STD risk. As for "Asian spa", the ethnicity of the massage joint or the masseuse make any difference. In my 50+ years in the STD business, I have never seen nor even heard from colleagues about any patient with an STD acquired in this way.
Accordingly, I advise against testing and you need not worry about infecting your wife with anything. Do your best to separate your feelings about this event -- guilt, shame, etc for a decision you regret -- from infection risk. They aren't the same. Deal with the former as you need to, but please don't worry about STDs or any other infection.
I hope these comments are helpful. Let me know anything isn't clear.
