Hi Doc

3 days back i had an accident where a person on scooter hit my car and fell, he had some muscle injury on back where i applied first aid ointment from a car and there was a wound and blood on his knee as well which was not flowing downwards but was still, i applied the same ointment there as well (2-3 min after accident) and have only poured cream directly but may have also used my finger to apply it which i dont remember exactly and now what haunts me is HIV through blood contact.

just to be sure

do you think there is a risk of HIV Exposure here or should i put this incident behind and move on?

your advice has always helped me a lot Doc

Thank you

Welcome back to the Forum.   You have been a good Samaritan.  I would not be worried about this event.  It is unlikely that this person had HIV or other blood borne infection and touching him to apply first aid ointment in the manner you describe would not put you at risk for HIV even if he did.  I see no reason for concern and no need for testing.  Please don't worry.  EWH---
