[Question #14040] Oral

Hello doctor I hope you are healthy and in good condition. A few questions here from worried people. I was far out of town for work, I made some mistakes by going to the roadside sex workers 2 times. From them I only asked for a blowjob and nothing more. 9 weeks after the first blowjob I checked myself with a finger piercing test for HIV, with non-reactive results. Tonight I came to another one sex workers and only asked for a hand game but the woman put her mouth in my cock, although I'm sure it might not be up to 5 seconds.
But I came back because I was worried, will this get me in trouble? Tomorrow I will go home and meet my wife.
For your information I have checked myself after my last question for you. 4th generation test after 8 weeks with non-reactive results.
Getting the test is very difficult in my area because I'm a mine worker
Do you think I need to worry and do the test again? Or you have other suggestions. Thank you
(I hope you can understand me because I use a translator)

Welcome back to the Forum. Thanks for your continuing confidence in our service. I'm pleased (and not surprised) to hear that your 4th generation HIV test taken 8 weeks after your receipt of oral sex was negative. No one has EVER been proven to get HIV from receiving oral sex (a clow job) and you are not going to be the first. That a commercial sex worker put her mouth on your penis recently does not put you at risk for HIV. There is NO reason for concern and no medical or scientific reason for testing again. I not reason related to the exposures you describe to avoid sexual contact with your wife. EWH---

I'm a person who enjoys sex, but not what happens afterward. I actually tend to be faithful, but my recent job has led me to make some mistakes. Are you sure that if I only occasionally receive oral sex from these high-risk individuals, I'll remain safe? Sorry, I don't mean to be unsure of your answer, I just need reassurance. I'm confident you're the best in this field.

As I said, there are no proven cases of HIV which have been acquired from receipt of oral sex. With oral sex there is a modest risk of other STIs - gonorrhea and perhaps syphilis in particular. EWH---

Okay, thank you for your answer, doctor. I will follow your professional advice and not take the test. I'm just confused because I've received so much information circulating about this exposure. But you are the expert, and I choose to trust you. Thank you for all the good things.

I understand your confusion. There is a lot of misinformation on the internet. I am confident that you will not get HIV from the exposure you have described.
Closing this thread now. EWH
