Hello doctors
I just encountered having protected sex with a woman. At one time she ejaculate (squirt) and im not sure but there might some water that goes into my eye. Does this encounter is a high risk event? What kind of stds that can be transmitted in this scenario? And also, what symptoms should i look out and also the duration of when the symptoms occur after the encounter?

Thankyou very much doctor

Welcome back to our forum.  Thank you for your continuing confidence in our service.  As you know from previous visits to the Forum, it is statistically unlikely that your partner has an STI, including HIV and even if she did, use of a condom from start to finish of your vaginal sex makes acquiring any STI very unlikely.  That some of her genital secretions got into your eye is also very unlikely as the blink reflex is automatic and highly protective.  Should an eye infection occur, the most likely symptoms would be a purulent discharge from the affected eye occurring within a few days of your exposure.  I would not be worried in the least and feel that testing at this time is not necessary  unless you wish for the added reassurance that a negative test will provide.  Personally, I would not be worried and would not test.  EWH---

Thanks for the prompt reply doctor!
Supposedly she have std (even though i asked her and she got checked regularly and clean), what are the chances of some sti are transmitted through eyes? And if the secretion go through the eye (as i cant remember if i blink fast enough), will it almost definitely that i will also got infected? What are the most sti types that can be transmitted from this event? This is quite unknown for me since there’s not a lot of information or journals regarding to my event

This is a repetitive question. As I explained above, even in the unlikely event that she had an STI, and, even in the more unlikely event that you actually got some of her genital secretions in your eye. The likelihood of infection is close to zero.  You have no control over how fast do you blink. Blinking is a reflex which occurs almost immediately with any sort of irritation.  theoretically, the STI is most likely to be acquired. In the way you describe would be gonorrhea or chlamydia. As I already said, however, this is virtually no concern. Please don’t worry. EWH.---
