My partners friend is gay. He tried my ice cream cone and took a lick. Am I at risk if he had hiv (acute or chronic)?

Welcome back to the Forum. Thanks for your continuing confidence in our Forum. I'll be glad to comment. It is statistically unlikely that your friend has untreated HIV. Even if he does however, sharing an ice cream cone with him would not put you at risk. Even if some of his saliva remained on the cone, ingestion of HIV does not cause infection. There is no reason for concern and no medical reason for testing. EWH---
