[Question #14072] Very anxious about possible HPV exposure (oral sex + fingering)

Hi, I’d really appreciate a clear answer because this is causing me a lot of anxiety.
I am a male in my 20s with no previous sexual experience. My only sexual contact was receiving oral sex from a girl 5 times over 3 months with kisses (including deep kissing). I also fingered her vagina, and once she briefly put her finger slightly into my anus. There was no vaginal or anal intercourse.
She later told me she has high-risk HPV, including HPV16, with CIN1.
I received Gardasil 9 about 6 days after the first exposure and I am continuing the vaccine schedule. I currently have no visible warts, lesions, or symptoms.
I know HPV testing in men is not routinely recommended, but about 1 month after the last exposure I still did PCR DNA testing from the urethra, penile skin/body, and oral cavity. All results came back negative.
I’ve been reading a lot online and I’m very worried and confused. My main fears are:
- whether HPV high risk transmission is realistic from oral sex (from her mouth to my genital), deep kissing, or hand contact in this situation
- whether brief anal finger contact could cause infection for anus
- Will I have oral HPV from kisses
- long-term risk like cancer
- whether I could transmit it to a future wife and if I would need to disclose this

- 1, whether HPV high risk transmission is realistic from oral sex (from her mouth to my genital), deep kissing, or hand contact in this situation.
- No, HPV is virtually never transmitted through receipt of masturbation or deep kissing and is rarely acquired from receipt of oral sex.
- 2. whether brief anal finger contact could cause infection for anus
- No, there is no risk of HPV from insertion of a partner's finger into your anus, even of genital secretions were on her fingers.
- 3. Will I have oral HPV from kisses
- See above- no!
- 4. long-term risk like cancer
- Even if you became infected, there is little risk of cancer. Over 90% of HPV infections due to high risk HPV resolve spontaneously over a period of months
- 5. whether I could transmit it to a future wife and if I would need to disclose this
- The topic of disclosure is extensively discussed on other posts. We do not feel that disclosure is needed
