Hello experts, thanks again for your service I have a final question on the HIV RNA eclipse period. I’ve been keeping my research to academic/government sources (no Reddit!) and had one question on a paper I haven’t seen referenced here.

Now this could be my complete misunderstanding but this article https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28365331/ seems to state there could be many cases of HIV RNA not being detectable by 11 days. Is this just a case of mathematical models not matching up with clinical reality?

I hope you don’t see this as me challenging your advice but rather just trying to get a complete understanding of the science.
