I have HPV and genital warts. I have 2 questions from this, one concerning me more than the other. 

The 1st: Is genital warts from HPV only contracted from penetrative sexual contact or is it possible to get it say from dirty public washrooms/ wet shoes that are being shared by multiple people(mostly men)in a military style barracks, even if the instance of it happening is rare?

My 2nd: what is the most effective method of getting rid of genital warts for a female as prescribed steroid cream like Imiquimod and Aldara have done nothing for me for removing cluster warts and cryotherapy is too painful.
