[Question #14099] Oral Squamous Throat Papillomas Disclosure Questions

Hi there,
This is a continuation of questions Dr. Hook answered for me in #14081.
I am having a procedure in a few weeks to remove oral papillomas from my throat (one on my soft pallette/tonsil area and one on the side/far back of tongue). I will be getting these tested for HPV DNA… however the ENT surgeon I saw last week also thinks these present as typical papillomas caused by HPV.
1) My question is how long should I wait for deep kissing once these are removed?
I’m not sure if oral HPV acts at all different from genital HPV and warts. I’m also not sure if deep kissing share the same guidelines. I had just a single condyloma removed from my labia at the beginning of the month. I will be requesting a colscopopy procedure to check internally for others.
2) How long should I wait to give oral sex once my throat papillomas are removed?
Should I be waiting 3-6 months to check for recurrence on throat like genital HPV?
3) How often do oral papillomas recur after they are removed?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
