Dr Hook, On 4th June, I had insertive oral from a female csw in a se asian country with higher than average hiv prevalence. i had prep on demand 24 hours before this and followed up with the correct doses in the 24 hour and 48 hour intervals and added a 5th dose for extra sureness. although i realise it's the pre-sex doses which are the most important for building up the protective drug strength. after 10 days i began to feel fatigue and i had aching underarm lymph nodes. there was no pronounced fever, sore throat, headache or rash that i could feel. i'm still somewhat fatigued and the underarm aching persists although milder now. athough a covid variant has been circulating, this doesn't feel like that and i tested negative a few days ago. is there a realistic chance that i have become infected with hiv? the prep may not have built up in my penile tissues to protect me. should i go and get tested?
