[Question #14106] Can 0.01 index value at 54 days turn positive later?

So on February 25 2026 at 1 am in the morning i was exposed to a female carrier of hsv 2. she was a friend of mine who didnt know she had it. her index was 12.900. Since it was my first time, i was scared and took precaution. I took Siemens Atellica tests every two weeks up until day 54 past exposure. For week 2 & 4 my index value came back at 0.01. However, during week 5 i got an upper respiratory allergy infection that lasted less than a week. I went back on 6 weeks past exposure and my results came back at 0.03. Now on 4/22/26, i went to get my 8 week blood drawn and my results for 56 past exposure were back at a 0.01.

So for about 56 days my index value has stayed a 0.01. It is 6/30/26 and i went to quest diagnostic for one more test. However the anxiety is killing me. I want your honest professional opinion. Are my biweekly results leading up to day 56 past exposure an indicator that I am overall negative? or can i stay flatline at 0.01 for 56 days and still end up positive? im scared I am a slow/late seroconverter which is why my index stayed at 0.01. However I am not immunocompromised nor taking anti virals. does my pattern fit someone whos negative or can still be positive? has anyone ever stayed flatline for 56 days and turn positive? I am well past 17 weeks and till this day ive had 0 visible outbreaks or syptoms. I am scared i am simply asyptomatic and seroconverted slow and only turned positive after week 8, from week 9 – 16. or is that not how antibody seroconversion works? are my results of 0.01 at 56 days a sign i am negative? Thank you D:

Also want to add that the encounter was less than an hour of contact. she had no visible outbreak or sores from what we both could tell. but she was a confirmed carrier. I also came in her D: so im not sure if that makes it worse but my main worry Dr. is that my index of 0.01 taken with the Siemens Atellica is not a good reading and i may have turned positive after week 9 - 16. I know some people take even longer than 12 so i am worried i am simply asymptomatic seronegative or slow seroconverter. or is an index value staying flatline at 0.01 for 54 days after an exposure not seen in positive people? do i fit the pattern of a true negative individual.
