Hello doctors, I hope you are well.
I've been reading conflicting information all over the web as well as the nurse at the sti clinic. My question is.
I'm married but started seeing another woman. She's a white 34 year old divorced mom no iv drug user. She has casual sex but she is knowledgeable about stis. I asked for for copies of the last test and gives me the run around which makes me nervous.
On June 2 there was extensive mutual Oral sex. On June 6 I had sex with my wife. On June 8th again mutual oral with other woman and I rubbed my penis against her vagina for 2 seconds and penetrated for 2 seconds in and out with no condom.
I worried and tested on June 12th (4 days later) gonorrhea and chlamydia was negative but they had me test again a week later to confirm. Negative again. They recommended a throat swab which I did yesterday. My questions are.
1) in covering my bases, the clinic said if I have vagina sex with a throat infection, it can travel to my penis and infect my wife? Should I wait for results?
2) week 3 of no chancre, would that be a good sign for lack of syphilis or is it most of the time asymptomatic?
3) I have a cold with sore throat and im worried about HIV. I read it's low risk but should I abstain while I test in another 3 weeks?
