[Question #146] Worried/anexity over fingering

I received a massage from someone I don't really trust but don't know her status. She gave me a handjob and I fingered her briefly while she did that. That was it, nothing else. I don't recall having any cuts on my fingers and if I did they would have been minor and healing. I haven't felt that great for a week or two since I saw her. Mild nausea and soft stool. I have burning sensations in my arms and legs at night and can't sleep. No fever no rash. Should i be concerned about transmission of hiv ? Could someone get hiv from an incident I described?

Welcome back to the forum. However, this is your second question about an obviously low risk exposure. Here is all you need to know about HIV prevention: Do not have unprotected vaginal or anal sex with new or unknown partners; and do not share drug injection equipment with anyone else. That's all. There are no other contacts with other persons that carry any risk of HIV. That includes hand-genital contact, fingering, or any other sexual exposures other than intercourse.

As for your symptoms, they are not typical for a new HIV infection. However, they are consistent with the physical manifestaions of anxiety.
So no worries, no need for testing.
I hope this has helped. Best wishes and stay safe-- HHH, MD
