In our most recent study, all subjects who tested positive at an index value of 3.0 or higher on the IgG test, confirmed on the herpes western blot. So yes, I feel that you can be confident about this result, indicating you are infected with HSV 1. Do you have more questions for me?

I guess in the last week a new study came out saying that the IgG has a lot of false positives that's what the doctors on this forum have been talking about that's why I have this question because I always assumed I had HSV-1 and now I'm second-guessing it . I have been getting treated for pain in my urethra but all my drs say it's impossible to be herpes because I'm already hsv1 positive and no external sores . Have you ever treated a patient with herpes in the urethra with no external sores and no pain urinating .

The study may be the one we worked on - not certain. The risk of a false positive varies with the index value obtained on the test - yours was high. It was greater than 5, so it could be 14 or it could be 6, we don't know, but no matter what, anything over 3 in our study on HSV 1 IgG confirmed every time compared to western blot.
If you did have herpes in the urethra, I would expect at some point you would see external lesions, and it would be intermittent, not constant, and very infrequent. Is yours happening often?

Having constant pain and irritation for close to 2,months .,dr says herpes would not last this long and all other tests negative and would see eternal lesions and would be very painful to pee., does this sound right ? What else can it be ?

I do think that sounds right to me, yes. I agree with your doctor very strongly.
Some STI's don't have good tests easily available yet. have you taken any antibiotics to try to treat this?

Treated with doxy and Zithromax , no help . That's why I'm nervous about herpes but nothing matches with herpes such as time line , , duration , ,no lesion , ,no pain urinating . Gram stain clean ., its frustrating

I have not seen someone with genital herpes infection only internally that lasts for 2 months, no, never, and I don't think you would be the first person to have it.
You've been treated with the correct antibiotics for the usual STI's. Has anyone evaluated you for a prostate infection? That's something to think about.
I seriously don't think you can attribute your constant urethral symptoms to HSV 1 - it just doesn't fit.
