Hi I was tested for herpes on December 9th, 2016 and received the results December 12th and they came back negative. My encounter was either September 17th or 24th so that puts me at the 11 to 12 week mark. Does that confirm the negative test result?

Good morning, with about 95% certainty, you don't have HSV 2 infection.  I'm not sure what you mean by confirms a negative result?
Was there a previous test?

No. That was the first testing I had done. No known symptoms for the duration of those weeks. I know symptoms can be mild but I didn't have any discomfort. I also know that it's possible to not have symptoms. Just wanted clarification that I could trust my test results. Thank you!

I really believe that you can, even more so with the additional information that you just provided of absolutely no symptoms.

I've experienced a slight tingle for a few seconds only but I've had that before post masterbation. Also, I had what seemed to be a stomach flu 5-6 weeks post exposure but I never linked the two. Can you confirm? Last question I know. Thank you for your help!

I should clarify. No lesions present during what is believed to be stomach flu. Tingle went away after 2-3 seconds. Only experienced once.

Stomach flu has nothing to do with herpes.  When you hear about flu symptoms and herpes, the symptoms are more like influenza, not stomach upset - totally different.  Slight tingle for a few seconds should not worry you in terms of herpes either.  The odds are hugely in your favor that you do NOT have HSV 2.
