[Question #1888] STD Risk

Good Day, I went to a massage parlor and received an unprotected handjob 7 days ago. Today I noticed a small round mark on my penis. It is sort of skin colored but slightly darker enough to be clearly noticeable. It is only about2-4mm in diameter. It is on bottom of penis under the head. It does not seemto have nay texture different then surrounding skin other then maybe being shiny? Could this be the beginning of a syphilis chancre? This is my ONLY recent exposure. I had an exposure 6-7months ago but tested for HIV out to 22 weeks and had a single syphilis RPR at 14 weeks.

Welcome to the Forum. I'll try to help. Acquisition of any STI, including syphilis from receipt of masturbation is essentially unheard of. Further when chancres appear, they evolve from reddish, slightly raised bumps to open sores in just a day or at the most two. How long has this spot been present? Has it changed much since you first noticed it?
In my experience, when persons become alert to the possibility of risk, they tend to look closer than they have in the past to their genitals and as a result, tend to notice lesions and spots which are transient or which have been present in the past but we're unnoticed. For it to be syphilis would be most unlikely. EWH

I think I noticed it yesterday or the day before which would be 5-6 days after the encounter. I have checked often since yesterday morning and I do not think it has changed much. Depending on the lighting it looks reddish. I am not exactly sure how long it has been present but at the least 1 full day.

Thanks for the additional information. If this area has not changed noticeably in the past 24 hours, it is almost certainly not an STI of any sort. I wouldn't worry about it. EWH

Doctor I have an issue. I have developed generalized lymph swelling. Doctor confirmed. All tests have come back negative. Syphilis, HIV (27 weeks past last protected sex, 2 weeks past handjob). No Lyme, CBC normal, ANA normal. Did I catch HIV from handjob and it hasn't been detected it was from Asian massage. Or could it be that my exposure 6 months ago has not been detected by 4th gen testing.

As I said before, no one has ever gotten HIV from receipt of masturbation and your negative syphilis tests PROVE that you do not have syphilis. While these are listed as possible causes of generalized lymphadenopathy, the list is quite long and there are far more things that cause generalized lymph node swelling than STIs, particularly after a virtually no risk exposure such as the one you have described. My advice would be to work with your doctor to address other possible causes of general lymph node swelling but not to worry about STI.
I hope this comment is helpful to you. This is my third reply to your questions. As per our Forum guidelines, this thread will be closed later today. Take care and please do not worry about having acquired an STI from receipt of masturbations. EWH
