Male, recvd unprotected oral sex 12 week before frm female, all std negative at 6 weeks. around 6 weeks i had strange pimple on chest near the neck. if was followed by another similar pimple near to 3 inches apart. no pain or itch, went away after 2-3 weeks. Also had severe dryness and flakes on scrotum in 10th week and went away by anti fungal cream. having joint pains and fatigue kind of feeling all the time. I am planning to start family, other thread suggested that no test required but forgot to mention this pimple episode. should i be concerned about herpes here and is there a way to confirm ? Any other symptoms i should continue to monitor ?

Nothing you have listed here in the way of symptoms makes me concerned that you have herpes. If you acquired genital herpes from this encounter, the lesions would not be on your chest and antifungal medicines would not make a herpes infection better.
Have you ever in your life had a cold sore on your lip? If yes, then you already have HSV 1 orally and that is the risky herpes thing from receiving oral sex - cold sore virus from mouth to genitals. So if you HAVE had a cold sore, I would not expect you to acquire HSV 1 genitally as you already have it orally and it is very unlikely that you would get the same infection at a new place on your body as your immune response to the virus would be protective.
I personally don't think that you need an antibody test in your situation.

Thanks Terri for the clarification. I never had sore in life. 6 week test was HSV-1/HSV-2 IGG and IGM. no other symptoms, i am just having guilt and worry about wife/future child. I am not sure how do i get out of it mentally, i believe i do not have symptoms and i was happy after 6 week test. However flakes on scrotum , like dryed up liquid or dryed gum like dryness on scrotum made me concerned again. I want to move and stop google worry. but i guess like many others i am making myself feel miserable just out of guilt. Now it is 12 weeks post incident and want to resume family things, but very much afraid/guilt.

The symptoms of flaking on the scrotum fits far better with a fungal or yeast infection than with herpes - herpes does not present as flaking or dried up liquid - it presents with sores. Statistically, a single exposure is very unlikely to result in infection, also. You should be happy about the 6 week test for sure - now that you are at 12 weeks you could test once more and if negative, but this aside and live fully again. I can't offer you 100% certainty that you don't have herpes but nothing you've said worries me. I know, with guilt comes obsessive worrying for some people - it's tough to put aside but I think the sooner you can, the better.

Please do not close this thread, hold your reply for now. I have submitted samples again. I also got blood on toilet tissue today and dryness, i guess i am not having proper food and water from last couple of days. Itching was there from last 1 week. No blood on stool but on tissue only. I was anticipating this due to burning sensation. I will post you in 3 days and we can close the thread afterwards.
