[Question #2172] Asian Massage Follow Up

I asked a question last Sat. about an Asian massage when she licked my anus and testicles and the response was not to be concerned about an STI and not to get tested. I did have a hemmroid and still do. The area around my anus has been very slightly irritated this week but not even an itch or really a burn. It feels very dry. I wish I could explain in better detail. I have been treating the hemmroid with witch hazel and prep H more this week. Could this irritation be related to the licking or simply the hemmroid and my treatment of the hemmroid? Could it be a yeast or any other type of problem? Should I have sex with my partner? Am I over thinking?

Welcome back. Your previous thread is still open; if you didn't understand any part of Dr. Hook's direct reply, you could have asked there, without paying a second fee.

I agree with the reply you had from Dr. Hook: for sure no risk of HIV. Also little or no risk of other STDs, which are rarely transmitted by this sort of contact.

The most common causes of anal irritation are simple pruritus ani (Latin for itchy anus), which often responds to improved hygiene or cortisone cream. A yeast infection is also a possibility and also might respond to washing with soap and water. But no STD is a likely cause and there is no reason you cannot safely have sex with your wife.
