I am 26 year old male from India. On June 4,2017 , I had a sexual encounter with a female on paid basis. She is not a cheap prostitute but have multiple sex-partners. I had protected vaginal intercourse and unprotected fellatio. The fellatio lasted for 2-3 minutes. As far as I remember I didn't see any cold sore on her lips. We also did deep kissing too. Also, I didn't have any cuts on my glans, as good as I remember but do have poly penile pampules. I am bit paranoid after that day. It has been 7 days and I haven't experienced any symptoms such as discharge or painful urination. All I have experienced is a sore inside my side lips, which I believe is due to stress as I had it many times. Please help me to resolve my anxieties. Also I have been tested for most STD's 2 years back. I was clean and didn't even had HSV-1-IGg antibody count. I am now worried that I might not get any STD's be it bacterial or viral. Please explain whether not having any symptoms after 7 days  be considered a good sign?

Welcome to our Forum  Even before we discuss possible STIs, it is important that I remind you that most commercials sex workers do not have STIs, that even when they do most exposures to infected partners do not lead to infection, and that in your case, your use of a condom for vaginal sex means that your major risk for any STI relates to your receipt of unprotected oral sex.  Few STIs are transmitted through receipt of oral sex- there is virtually no risk for HIV from receipt of oral sex.  When fellatio does lead to STIs, the most common problems are either gonorrhea of non-gonococcal urethritis NGU) caused by mouth organisms introduced in to the urethra during sex.  This sort of non-chlamydial NGU is not clearly and STI in the traditional sense, is not readily transmitted to sex partners like other STIs, and in not associated with complications.  In the United Kingdom, many specialists do not treat NGU associated with oral sex.  When treated, oral sex-related NGU typically resolves quickly.  In your case the absence of symptoms makes gonorrhea and NGU less likely and can be considered a good sign.

The risk for getting type-1 genital herpes from receipt of oral sex is likewise very low.  If you do not develop a herpes outbreak within two weeks of our exposure, I would not be worried about herpes.

I hope this information is helpful. The exposure you describe was quite low risk.  EWH
