Dear Dr. H. Hunter Handsfield.
5 days ago I had only vaginal oral sex( cunnilingus)with an escort from rusia..I arrange yhis escort from an agency on internet. Vaginal oral sex took nearly only 30-35 second...Would HIV pass into my body through my mouth mucosaI am afraid of hiv risk..İs there any risk. Do I need hiv test or not. If you assume that the woman is infected with HIV, what is the risk percentage of taking infections from thisexposure...
Should I be comfortable with this very small risk..Because My psychology is not in good shape...I am married and pls tell me Can I have unprotected sex with my wife without any fear...Thanks Dr.

Clients are not permitted to choose who will answer their questions, nor to seek responses from both of us on this forum. Dr. Handsfield and I have worked as colleagues for over 35 years and never disagree on the substance of our advice despite having different verbal styles and choice of words.
You do not know that your partner had HIV and statistically is is unlikely that she did. Most commercial sex workers do not. Further, no one has EVER been proven to acquired HIV from performing oral sex on a woman or by receiving oral sex. You do not need to worry. There is no medical reason for testing and there is no reason to be worried about having unprotected sex with your wife. EWH

Yes, you can assume that there is more than a 99.9% probability that you did NOT acquire an STI in the exposure you have described. Accept this and stop worrying. EWH---

This is a repetitive question. HIV IS AN STI!!!!! Your fears and anxieties are your problem! Searching the internet where you will be misled with incorrect information. Relax, put your fears aside and move on. If you cannot, you do not need testing for any STI (including HIV) and would benefit from counseling to address your needless fears. EWH---

This has already been answered. I am not angry. Rather I am saddened that you do not appear to be able to believe what I say. You are not a risk to your wife from your exposure, not for HIV, not for gonorrhea, not for chlamydia, not for syphilis, not for ANY STI! Address you guilt. This thread will be closed shortly. EWH---

Dear Dr..I beleive u..But a doctor I consulted said me If the lady is positive for HIV, you are definitely at risk, risk depende on her virsl load and microsopic abrasions on penis. You should ask for a 4th generation ELISA after 3-4 weeks of this encounter.....My brain is confused...Dr...İf vaginal oral sex is not a risky behaviour Why this doctor said I am at risk...Pls before closing answer me dr..Thanks...
