[Question #2644] Checking up whether I need to be worried about this

Hi,
As you would see from my previous question, a year or so ago, I am now extremely careful and conscious not to catch any STI, I now have all three shots of Gardasil too to protect against HPV.
That apart, last week, at a friends party, Alcohol got the better of me and I ended up getting a hand job and around 2 minutes of frottage [she was sitting and grinding naked on my unprotected member and thighs], I stopped her at that. I fingered her for 30 seconds before that [had cut my nails that very evening and had a bit of a hang nail, that scares me too]
What is my risk of HSV2 or any other STI [HIV?? - I think not], when should I get tested.
I have one pimple type of whitish liquid filled thing [small] on my left thigh which popped up 2 days before:

Is this HSV2?.
I am deathly scared of STIs, advice please.
I checked with the lady and she says she hasn't gotten tested in a year but she's sure she does not have anything and sees no reason to get tested...not very comforting to me...
History : I have HSV1 antibodies and never had any STIs.
Thanks for your advice on this

Welcome back to the forum. Thanks for your quesiton. Congratulations on a careful approach to sex and STI risk, and for getting vaccinated against HPV.

We don't examine posted photos of lesions, skin rashes, etc. That comes too close to practicing medicine from a distance, which we cannot do. However, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. Neither HSV, HIV, nor other STDs are transmitted by hand-genital contact, fingering, etc. This was a zero risk exposure. And herpes would rarely show up as a single pimple, and typical pimples (with pus) rarely are herpes. I see no reason so suspect you have anything other than a garden variety pimple. I don't recommend testing for anything, and if you have a regular partner, there is no risk of transmission of any STD from this event.
I hope this information is helpful. Let me know if anything isn't clears. Best wishes and stay safe--

Thanks, Doctor.
What about : '2 minutes of frottage [she was sitting and grinding naked on my unprotected member and thighs]', any STI risk for this?, if so, which ones, which tests do I need and if not, should I completely forget this as a zero risk encounter and not get any further consultation or tests?.
Thanks.

In theory, there could be risk for STDs transmitted primarily by skin contact (syphilis, herpes, HPV). However, this is rare; in my 40 years in the STD business, I have never seen or heard about anyone with these infections who had not had insertive intercourse. Nobody can say the risk is zero, but it is exceedingly low and I continue to advise that you do not need testing.
