[Question #2765] [Question #2740] Herpes infection scare: follow-up

Hi Terri,

Thank you for your guidance so far, I wanted to update you with the test results from the panel ordered  by my GP. It seems that I have diabetes (H1bAc level was 8.4) and my fasting blood sugar level was also slightly elevated. I have also been diagnosed with Vitamin D deficiency and slightly elevated liver enzyme levels. I also have had around 3 different cases of folliculitis on my inner thigh and scrotum in the past 2 weeks.  My GP thinks that the diabetes might be causing these break-outs. Also, Vitamin D deficiency might explain leg pains/headache that I have been observing intermittently. This helps me put my mind at ease. The only thing I can't seem to get past is to why I started observing these symptoms after that exposure which I deeply regret every day. I have few questions:
1. Can HSV2 lead to H1bAc levels such as mine within 3 weeks and elevated liver enzyme levels ?
2. Is it possible for someone with herpetic whitlow to shed asymptomatically? She had actually rubbed my penis head with her finger so I am just trying to eliminate all possible routes of contraction and finally put this matter to rest.
3. I have been observing rectal pain while passing stools and for few hours post that- and have been prescribed stool softener for this. Can this be a symptom of Herpes?

Sorry for asking multiple questions at once, I promise I will not ask follow up questions on this thread.

And sorry, one final question, with the information, can I move ahead with my life ? I do plan on getting IGg tests at 3 months mark, and no sexual exposure before that, but can I start planning for the future without fear? This experience has certainly put things in perspective for me and I would like to start working towards the important things with confidence.

Herpes would cause neither elevated A1C levels nor abnormal liver functions.
No, the skin of the hand is too thick for aysmptomatic shedding
Unlikely that your anal symptoms are herpes related.
I believe, given everything you have told me, I believe that you can move on with your life.
