[Question #2911] Herpes 2 ?

Hello, I'm concerned with an encounter I had 11 days ago.

11 days ago I was the recipent of unprotected oral sex.  At the end of it she had a small cut by her lip she said she had bitten herself earlier in the week.  She  is a virgin and only will do oral. I am a male and have previous oral cold sores since childhood

three days later I woke up with a very bad sore throat headache and muscle aches.. went to the doctor who said it was viral strep test came back negative said he felt no glands.. I did feel some post nasal drip but no cough stuffy it runny nose.

Today is the 11th day I've been inspecting myself quite often I notice a small bump looks alittle atypicalon the shaft of penis no itching or pain.. although I feel a tightness in my groin and heavy feeling in thighs.. also feel tingling in my upper lip but no sore..

1.How likely did I either contract herpes 1 or 2 genitaly from an unprotected blow job if she had a cold sore

2.Assuming it was hsv2 would I have mild symptoms since having  previously hsv1 oral

3.How many cases have you seen with this type of transmission occuring

Thanks

1.  It is extremely unlikely that you would contract either HSV 1 or 2 at this encounter.   First of all, you already have HSV 1 orally so the chances of getting it genital are very small indeed.  And HSV 2 is rare orally, and when present there, is given off from the body very infrequently so I seriously doubt that too.
I recall one case in 33 years of practice where someone with a history of cold sores acquired HSV 1 genitally subsequently

Last questions. In looking and I see a cluster of these little bumps tiny  if they are indeed blisters the earliest appointment is Friday to get it swabed will it be too late?

They're so tiny that I'd have to stare at to make it out Are my symptoms a coincidence or hall within a typical primary out break?

Is it possible I've had it and this a recourrence?

Finally sorry for the misuse of the word oral.

If the tiny bumps are blisters, they should be seen ASAP but normally herpes blisters aren't all that tiny.  Today would be fine for swabbing.  But if you have to really stare to see them, that doesn't sound consistent with herpes.  It is also possible of course that you've had genital infection previously and this is a recurrence but this sounds so small for herpes to me!
Misused the word oral?  I don't see that, but you are certainly forgiven if you did!
You have one more post to make so feel free to let me know how the visit goes today
