[Question #293] Stringy Substance in Urine

About a week ago I was having a bowel movement in which I had to push rather hard. I then noticed a stringy substance in my urine. I am currently in a monogomous relationship regarding any unprotected sex.
I did get a hand job from a stripper while I was wearing a condom, she may have rubbed the shaft of my penis while putting it on and she rubbed my testicles.
Admittedly:
1. I have been sick this week;
2. I stopped taking Benzos around the same time; and
3. I have a generalized anxiety disorder.
I wanted to confirm that any prostetitis I may have is not caused by my above referenced indiscretions and I don't need to get tested.
Thx

Welcome to the Forum. I'll be pleased to comment. The sort of exposure that you describe did not put you at risk for any STI. Rather , I would point out that sometimes when a person strains to have a bowel movement the pressure generated from straining at stool can express prostatic secretions in the urine. This is most likely what occurred to you.. Such events are not all that uncommon and do not suggest a need for concern nor a need for STD testing.
Please do not let this concern you. EWH

Okay, I really don't want to ask more questions because I like the answer I got, but anxiety has me asking the following questions:
1. When she put the condom on she wanted me to do the rest because she was afraid her nails would rip it, even if it did is that a concern?
2. I have been working with my hands and have many small cuts and I wanted to make sure that does not change your analysis.
If nothing to worry about, I like that response and I can go with it.

1. Who put your condom on is certainly not a concern. the important thing is that it was on.
2. No, most persons hands of cuts and scrapes on them- some have more than others. Despite that, getting genital secretions on one's hands, directly or indirectly does not lead to infection. Again, nothing to worry about.
Take care. EWH
