[Question #2991] Drinking glass follow up

Hello Dr. Hook. This is a follow up to the question that you just answered in my previous post about 20 minutes ago. (#2892)  I'm just basically trying to be clear here. Based on the events that I described to you in that post and even if the person was positive and had slight mouth bleeding when they took a drink from my glass and I  used the same glass and had a cut on my mouth that I would be at no risk?

Not sure of the basis of this repetitive question.  You were clear and I would have thought my statement "...HIV has NEVER been transmitted through shared eating or drinking utensils." was clear as well.  No risk at all!.

I must use the fact that you felt the need to ask this repetitive question to point out to you that in order to best serve the many clients who come to this site, we do not permit repetitive, anxiety-driven questions.  This policy is based on compassion, not criticism, and is designed to reduce temptations to keep paying for questions with obvious answers; because experience shows that continued answers tends to simply prolong such anxieties, when the real answer normally should be professional counseling; and because such questions have little educational value for other users, one of the forum's main purposes. I trust you will understand.  Should you continue to post repetitive questions of this sort, your posts will be deleted without comment and without refund of your fee.  Again, please understand, this policy is not punitive.  I hope you will understand.  EWH
