[Question #3247] Question #3229- Follow Up

Hi Dr. Hook,

I saw my dermatologist and she confirmed that the bumps on my lips aren't Herpes and most likely normal or due to Fungus. I saw my PCP about my issue after ejaculation, but she thought that it's probably due to damage due to extra friction, etc. and gave me an antibiotic shot to prevent any infection.

But I had the same issue tonight- right after ejaculation, I felt pain during urination and my urethra also pained when I tried to press it. The urination pain seemed to subside few hours after I had ejaculated. I have diarrhea since yesterday (17 days after oral sex exposure), and my left buttock hurts on and off making me fear it's herpes induced urethritis? I know it's not a good idea to search such forums, but I find that my issue is very similar to what has been described here:
Have you seen such case of Herpes urethritis?

Thanks!

Dr. Hook,

Wanted to mention that I had negative IGM test for HSV1/2 14 days post oral sex exposure, but I think it's not reliable, especially for non-primary infections (I already have OHSv1)
Is getting my urethra swabbed my only option at this point? I hope I get a urologist appointment soon, but it might take couple of weeks before I can see one.

I am going to answer this question because it relates to herpes.  I have spoken with Dr. Handsfield about this as well before answering.
We have gone around and around and around about this, for months now, both here and on my westoverheights.com forum.  You have tested and tested for herpes using the best tests, I believe, and you are negative.  I am going to close this discussion now because this fits into the category of anxiety related repeated questions.  I know from your posts that you had another contact that you are concerned about as well as the first one but our answers are the same.  If these things worry you, stop doing the things that put you at risk.  It's pretty straightforward, actually.  I know that might seem harsh but you reopen this scary wound periodically and then fret about it non-stop.  We have all tried and tried to help reassure you and facilitate testing but this has gone far enough.  Your urethral pain is extremely unlikely to be related to herpes and I am not worried about it all from your description in this post.  I am closing this post now.
