[Question #3387] Test

HiDpctors, i have aquestion. After 9 months i decided to take the oralquick swab, i was in the car. Because of the stress i fell in the jacket the tube but i put it again, i waited 22 minutes and it was negative. The control line was there and no line bellow it.  My question os, even if the tube fell at the begininf can i trust the results or should i repete it?
Thanks

I'm sorry but your question is a little hard to follow. did you drop the swab used to collect your specimen?  If so, that should not affect test performance.  The positive control line is a reliable indicator that your specimen collection was adequate and therefore you should be able to have confidence in your test result.  I hope this comment is helpful. If there are further questions, please feel free to use your follow-up questions (two are permitted) to help me know how to clarify things.  EWH

Thanks for the clarification.  As you might imagine, there are no studies evaluating your situation however dropping the tube should not effect the perfromance of the test.  EWH

Yes, my advice would be to accept your test results and move forward without further concerns related to the contact you have described.
As this is my 3rd response to your questions, this will be the final response and the thread will be closed later today without further responses form me.  Take care.  EWH
