[Question #3410] Hiv concern

Hello again great doctors.. after my last episode I mentioned and questioned about I tested negative for all std's for multiple time and had 18 negative 4th generation HIV tests and couple of oura quick tests .. any way my doctors didnt know the cause of my chronic diarhea, blood in urine and genralied lymphadenopathy till now .. any way I really felt depressed so I felt my life had no goal and Im truly infected with a new strain tests cant recognize .. so I went to a massage parlor last week and a half and it was an asian lady who was massaging .. I just wanted a handjob because its safe and hand skin cant easly get any std because its harder than other skins.. but after the massage she offered a body to body massage so I said yes.. and she only removed her bra but with panties on.. she ropped her chest on my chest on my body then went to my genital area I took a long time and didnt ejaculate so she slept on me and made my penis between her lega .. I felt her vagina from her dress so I told her to stop and she standed up .. and asked me if Im only good with a handjob but I was horney and afraid of std's at the same time so I said to her to give me a blow job with a condom on.. the condom was offered by her and I only lasted for 1 min or less because its my first blow job experience .. when I ejacluated I recognized that I am being so stoped and I asked her to give me the condom .. I ran to the bath room and filled the condom with water to see if there was any holes but it was fully intact .. when I exited the massage parlor I searched "protected oral risk" and "HIV fortage risk" I was relieved that some of the doctors said there was no risk but others said its still a risk!! Im really tierd and wont do any thing again .. but after a week now im having right groin pain that I had mildly before but it went on its own .. no other lymph nodes than the other ones I had and still having chronic diarrhea .. also no sores or signs of herpes or syphilis .. im really afraid a

Welcome back, but sorry you found it necessary.

Eighteen HIV tests??  Eighteen???? That may be a world's record! Re-read your previous two threads about the reliability of the HIV blood tests.

You continue to overreact out of anxiety and apparent misunderstandings about transmission of STDs and HIV. It does not help that you keep searching the internet about it:  like many anxious persons, you're obviously being drawn to information (often false or misleading) that inflames your fears. Please get this straight:  If there is no sex with penile penetration into another person's vagina or rectum, there is no risk of HIV. Periods. Oral sex is no risk, even without condom. Neither is genital apposition without penetration. There is also little or no risk for other STDs. Your groin pain has nothing to do with this event except maybe a consequence of your anxiety over it. Finally, there is never any point in doing a "water test" with condoms; it's an urban myth. If a condom does not break wide open, protection is complete. There is no such thing as microscopic leaks that would be a risk without obvious rupture of the condom.

So no risk and no need for testing. Believe it and do your best to move on without worry.

I'm so grateful the world still have good doctors like you and doctor hook..  any way Dr my 18 HIV tests where of fear from my first exposure with a girl who then tested positive this what caused me to have these many hiv tests.. and for my last exposure which is approximately 9 days ago which was genital apposition with her underwear on for a couple of seconds and a oral with protection for less than 1 min.. So you say there is absolutely no risk? For more information the incident was in Dubai which is notorious with high hiv prostitution rate.. and for the examples for malaria or other diseases that causes my prolonged generalized lymphadenopathy.. the problem is that my country is a disease free country so there is no chance I have any type of these diseases and they only got enlarged after first sexual interaction

I had forgotten you exposures to a known infected person. Still, 18 tests was very excessive.

Yes, I still say this exposure was absolutely no risk. Also, HIV and STDs cannot be transmitted through clothing, so the genital apposition was even lower risk than I first thought.

My understanding is that HIV is acqually quite infrequent in Dubai, including in sex workers there. Three or four years ago I exchanged emails with the director of the main STD clinic there. At that time, he was unaware of anyone who caught HIV from a Dubai sex worker.

Doctor I really respect you for your amazing knowledge.. so this is my last reply right? I still have no symptoms just some groin pain and excessive sneezing and postnasal drip probably from cold or influenza.. If I have any other symptoms similar to ARS should I consider testing? And I am thinking to take a pcr in the 15 days mark and a 4th generation at 6 weeks to put this all behind and focus on my studying and life .. will the tests be fully conclusive? Even for rare strains .. and what STD should I also test for? No sores or lesions had appeared till know so should I consider testing for syphilis or HSV?  AND I ALSO HAVE 6-8 HPF RBC IN URINE AND PAIN WHILE EJACULATION OR GETTING OUT URINE BUT NO INFECTION WHAT SHOULD I DO?  I know doctor you may think that Im overthinking and yes I am because of the stigma of HIV here in my country.

No, you should not consider testing even if you have "any other symptoms similar to ARS". It is impossible you caught HIV, and the symptoms or ARS are exactly the same as many conditions that are much more common than ARS. You shlould not have a PCR or any other test for HIV, and you should not have tests for any other STDs either.

As for painful ejaculation and RBCs in urine, I would guess you sometimes masturbate too vigorously and have caused some minor trauma. But see a doctor about this if the problem continues.

You came here for our professional advice, and you say you respect us and our opinions and advice. And yet you don't accept it but keep getting tested or otherwise not believing what we say and you don't follow our advice. What's the point of coming to the forum if you've already decided what you plan to do, regardless of what we say?

Please note the forum does not permit repeated questions on the same topic. This will have to be your last one; there will be no replies to future new questions about obviously non-risky exposure, testing, and your fears about HIV or other STDs and the post fee will not be refunded. This policy is based on compassion, not criticism, and is designed to reduce temptations to keep paying for questions with obvious answers. In addition, experience shows that continued answers tend to prolong users' anxieties rather than reducing them. Finally, such questions have little educational value for other users, one of the forum's main purposes. If you continue to have concerns of the kind you have been asking about in this and your other threads, I suggest you re-read all the replies you have had; almost certainly the answers will be there. I trust you will understand. But I do hope this final discussion has been useful to you. Best wishes and stay safe, as you are doing.
