Very close to zero. Studies done in pregnant women at the University of Washington suggest that a person with HSV 2 is virtually protected against HSV 1 infection. The opposite is not true. Bear in mind that you could have acquired HSV 1 proir to having HSV 2 and don't know it.

Ok ty.
What is the likely hood of transmission to my child from my clothing or bed sheets.
Specifically while im wearing them.
I have hsv 2 genital only.
Ie. She presses her face into the crotch or butt of my pants (as toddlers do), touch me with her hand on my clothes....so on
Or dirty laundry (might be more than one auestion)

Id like to know if herpes 2 can be teansmitted through clothing.
Ie: toddlers face on crotch and bum of my leggings, sitting on my lap, bed time cuddles.

There is no risk for you to transmit HSV to you child through bedding or clothing, no. None of that presents any risk at all for your child. HSV 2 is a sexually transmitted infection, not something that is transmitted to household members via the kind of contact you are describing. You can take this off your worry list - please don't change the normal interactions you have with your child as a result of this infection
