[Question #3551] Another oralquick

Doctor, I wanted to ask you about a reliability of an oral quick if it was swabbed more the once on each side, what happened if it has more fluids or saliva that it should have. Would it be valid ? I just ask because of the stress I swabbed more.
thanks

Welcome to our Forum. I will be happy to comment. there is no such thing as too much of a specimen for an OraQuick test specimen. Swabbing more than instructed with not compromise your test results. Have confidence. EWH

Thanks doc for the clarification. My last question, is oralquick after 8 month work as good as any blood test? And is 30 minutes without food or drinks enough before the test for eeliavility of it?

Yes, at 8 months the OraQuick is just as good as any other test. A 30 minute interval before doing the test is fine.

No effect of eating or dinging coffee 30 minutes before testing. Believe your test results.
FYI, this is my 3rd response to your questions. thus, as per Forum Guidelines this thread will be closed later today. EWH
