I'm a massage therapist and recently have been diagnosed with herpes hsv2. Can I still practice massage therapy or would i have to forfeit my career

Of course you can still do your massage therapy!  I am assuming that the massages that you do are legitimate massage sessions where your genitals do not come into any contact with your clients.  How were you diagnosed with HSV 2?

These are not exotic massages. I went to school for massage therapy. I want to make sure I was being ethical with my clients.
At times my clients could have back pimples and I might run across it and have an open pimple and I have maybe a slight cut, could it be transmitted that way?
I am seeing someone who failed to mention they have herpes and contracted that way via unprotected sex

No, herpes is not transmitted in this way AT ALL.  You are just fine to go on with your profession without any concerns.
