سؤالي

1- كما تعلم أن لديك حمى بعد التعرض لمدة شهر واختبرت كومبو أثناء المرض ، سألني طبيب المختبر إذا كنت تستخدم PEP هذا هو خوفي هل هناك تفسير؟

2- هل هناك علاقة بين الحمى واختبار السرد؟

3-هل يظهر الاختبار حالة الحصانة؟

Welcome back to the forum -- but I have to wonder whether you intended to write in English, perhaps with a translation program.

Based on the few English words and the numbers, I'm guessing you're asking about HIV blood test results. A negative HIV RNA test 21 days after a possible exposure is around 95% conclusive, and that result plus a 3rd or 4th generation blood test at 25 days is around 98% conclusive.

Beyond that (and with apology if I guessed wrong), you'll have to ask your question in English and I may have more to say.

Hello doctor

First i apologise for what i wrote

I’m male and I had an exposure repeated for 3 times with female

And the relationship was protected(with a condom).

After 35 days i affected by fever for 4 days.in the 38 day i did a test combo

And i did more than 18 tests ,all were done in the lab and the result was negative.

Most important test:

1, in the 30th day i did a combo test= negative

2, in the 38th day combo= negative

3, after 3 months i did a combo = negative

4, after 6 months i did a STDs test =negative

5, after 9 months i did a combo = negative

6,after 1 year and 8 months i did HIV rna =not detected

7,afrer 2 years i did a combo =negative

: after the third day of the fever the doctor asked me if i used PEP? That what scares me

Does the fever affect the result of the combo?and why the doctor asked about the PEP

Finally i apologise because the browser change from english to arabic

I repate my apology and the browser has changed.

Thanks for fixing the browser/language problem.

This repeats the same questions answered by Dr. Hook 6 months ago (thread 2678). As he told you that time, your test results were conclusive, proving you did not catch HIV. According to what you wrote at the time, that included at least one test 6 months after the exposure. Even with PEP, the kinds of tests you had are conclusive by 6 months, and probably by 3 months. Your additional negative test results since then further prove you did not catch HIV.

There are no medical or health problems that affect the results of any HIV tests, including the combo test, and fever does not do so. I'm sure your doctor asked you about PEP because it is normal to ask about HIV risks whenever someone has unexplained fever. That he ASKED about HIV does not increase the chance that you HAVE HIV. You do not, and your test results prove it.

Do your best to stop worrying about HIV and stop testing. Also please no further questions on this forum about the same exposure and testing. Thank you.
