Wally, the additional detail you provide in no way changes my thoughts. There is no evidence or reason to believe that you have HIV or any other STI. Your negative tests are conclusive and to spend money on further testing is a waste of time and money. I don't disagree that you may have a medical problem but for you to continue to try to link it to your sexual activity is misleading and will only delay you in finding out what is really the problem. I recommend that you see a good internal medicine physician and seek his/her assistance in sorting this out. You may need additional medication for GERD or have some other problem but based on what you say, HIV is just not a concern. Please realize that on occasion it takes physicians a bit of trial and error (and repeated visits) to sort out what is wrong with their patients. Find a doctor you like, stick with them and please don't worry that you got HIV from your encounter last January or in your subsequent exposures. EWH
